The person-centred approach.

The person-centred approach is a non-directive one which is often appealing to many clients because they get to keep control over the content and pace of the process. This simply respects the premise that the process is intended to serve them. The therapist isn't evaluating them in any way or trying to "figure them out". The cornerstone belief of the person centred approach is that people tend to move toward growth and healing, and have the capacity to find their own answers.

Using the person centered approach to Counseling, a confidential relationship is offered in which the client can explore at depth issues which challenges. Although the approach is non-directive in nature, movement & growth is characteristic of this style of working.
